| - On a lovely October day, we popped into Boulder City for breakfast at the Coffee Cup then perused the town. Neither of us had been to Hemenway Park. It's actually pretty tiny, tucked away the edge of a residential area overlooking the lake. Honestly, we had no expectations. WHICH MADE THEM BEING EXCEEDED SO RAD! Even as two people who have spent almost 30 years of their lives in Vegas, we didn't realize how little bighorn sheep are! So we sat down on this random bench all by itself, looking out at the lake, enjoying the perfect weather when we saw what we thought was a dog laying in the grass 25ish yards in front of us. Nope!, it turned out to be about 15 bighorn sheep. They didn't do anything spectacular, but it was so peaceful watching them graze, bask in the sun, play, repeat. Eventually, they made their way closer & closer to us & moseyed right around us (we could have touched them!) to make their way home. It was seriously cool.
