Beyond irritated with Ashley Furniture!! I had initially order a small couch for an office area and paid the item off in mid July, but was advised that the item was out of stock and would not be available until August 21st. Well, received a call from Ashley's last week and was told that my item was in and available for pick up. When I arrived, the individuals at the desk were not friendly and told me that my item was discountinued!! Really?? Why did I receive a call telling me the item was ready for pick up?? The salesperson who assisted me advised that I could choose something else, but I told him that I was specifically looking for a red couch. He showed me a brown couch, but advised that the item did come in red. I asked him if the item could be delivered and the delivery fee waived due to the inconvenience that I experienced. Of course not!! I also called the corporate office and was told that they were under new management and no longer waive their delivery fees which is ridiculous!! When people are spending their hard earned money on furniture, and inconvenience by their employees providing wrong information the items should be delivered for free as a courtesy. Ashely's just lost a valuable customer and will not have to worry about me purchasing from them again!! The worst!!
