  • I was referred to Network by Discount Tires (whom I had bought a set of tires from a yr ago) as I was trying to get a second opinion on some car work I told needs done by another auto company at my oil change. I am an older gal, know nothing about cars, disability income and struggle with people who talk to you like you know are to know what they are talking about (meaning cars at the moment). So I called Network and asked if they could do a second opinion because the first one I received (won't name at this point) was so much money I just couldn't afford it. Just hoping that they see something different and have a lower estimate. I talked to a Jack at the counter, who seemed like a nice guy to the older male customer sitting there waiting who chatted with him. But I didn't feel real welcome by him when coming in and telling him why I was there (had an appt), almost felt like me getting a second opinion was taboo. Maybe it is/was, I don't know - but all I knew was I needed to research and price shop to afford getting the work done. There was a gal at the other check out station that was very personable (wish I had gotten her honestly). So when the eval was done, Jack just flew over the things that needed done, pointing and circling. I was a bit frustrated as I wasn't following him at all. When I asked him a question he seemed a bit put off - just unwilling to help an old gal understand at a slower more understandable pace. I asked him which needed done first as I will have to start saving and do a little at a time. He honestly made me feel because I wasn't a paying customer and someone who needed a bit more simple explaining that he wasn't going the extra mile. He wasn't rude I will say that - but needs to learn not everyone knows, understands or can afford repairs, so if you want my business you better act like it. I do want to say that Network did come in lower and adjusted what needed to be done from my previous quote at 1st location. Will I be back? Maybe? But I hope he learns that most women don't understand cars, when you get older things are way more confusing, and people on a tight income needing to price shop shouldn't be made to feel like they are doing something wrong. Oh and just an fyi - they were not busy at the time as a couple of the men waiting had checked out and he made comment to other girl he is all caught up. So that can't be an excuse either, regardless. Just my opinion. I will update if I get the work done by them.
