| - This is my first pro-health review. I was beginning to sound like a sugar freak. DCC is interesting. I have only been to one class and for my free class, I chose the Introductory Bootcamp. Boy, did they lie. This was hardcore. I pretty much worked out for show, only doing it when the trainer was looking my way. I think he figured this out eventually and decided to camp around my area forcing me to actually workout for the remaining 40 minutes!!! I hurt as I type this.
They are not joking about the atmosphere. It is certainly very mature. The decor, all that deep green against lots of dull black metal... It is pretty grown up and somewhat depressing. Luckily I was too distracted by the challenging class to even care. I didn't get to play with the toys because I was in the Intro Class but he did show us a toy we were going to use in the next class and NOTHING about it said "play" to me lol. If I ever get crazy enough to try the intermediate class, I am sure I will enjoy the adult playground aspect of DCC much more. I will say this, if you are into conventional fitness, DCC is a TOP choice, the best one in fact. It really does not get any better. My idea of fun fitness is climbing things, taking circus classes and maybe even pole and lap dance classes so.... my 3 star review is certainly biased. Blame Yelp for that. 4 stars means "Yay! I'm a fan". Well, I am not but I am sure you will be :).
ETA: I'm updating my rating to a 5 star because if my idea of fun was more conventional, I would be masochistically all over this joint like white on rice!
