  • Oh man, I LOVE the food at this place. Before my hair stylist told me about Spices I was a big fan of My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. When I shared that with my stylist she said to check out Spices instead since I lived in the Tempe/Chandler area. Well the first time my husband drove to Spices it was on a Sunday and we were crushed to find out they are CLOSED on Sundays. But, the Yelp reviews were good enough to try again so we did the following Saturday afternoon. The hummus appetizer was so incredibly fresh and tasty that I was already forgetting MBFGR ever existed. I was swooning over the Chicken Shawarma Plate and my husband was a huge fan of the the Gyro plate. I also thought the french fries were super crispy which I love. In addition the awesome food, the guys working were very sweet and brought out our meals to us very quickly. The owner happened to be there and chatted with us for a few minutes about the freshness of his food and he was absolutely right. We had such a great experience that weekend that we went back there today and ordered the same exact menu items. Yum, yum, yum! I can't wait to go back again.
