  • Staples online delivery doesn't even work! Oct 10 - Ordered 1 pen and 3 Visa pre-paid gift cards online to have delivered to my home. I order things online and expect them to be delivered to my home. I get a confirmation email with expected delivery Oct 12 for the pen, Oct 24 for the gift cards to be delivered to my home address. Oct 12 - I get an email that they need to verify my ID and to into a store to pick up my item. Why do I need to verify my ID? Why do I need to go into store? My credit card has already been charged and they know where I live. I called the customer support call centre they had no explanation or reason why I needed to go into store. I go into the store, and it was the 1 pen that I ordered. I drove all the way to the store to pick-up 1 pen because Staples couldn't deliver this item! Oct 13 - I get an email that the Visa gift cards have shipped. Great I'm expecting them to be delivered to my home. After 15 business days, I am pissed that they haven't delivered the items to my home. Oct 31 - I called customer service to inquire where my items are. They did not know where the item was. They emailed a few hours later to say they are shipped to store again! Why is this item being shipped to store? I ordered them online for the item to be delivered to my house. They made some excuse that since its a credit card they are being shipped to store. The gift cards need to be activated online before they can be used. Meaning they can be shipped in the mail with no risk, they would be useless to anyone that may 'steal' them. Not sure how my mail could be stolen since I live in a condo with a secure mailbox. Oct 31 - I go into this store location to pick up the item, the first thing she says "i can't find the item, let me get my manager."After another 5 min of looking in the book, she says "I found your items". I then go home to activate the gift cards. I asked their manager to fix their delivery service because it's a big waste of my time come in store. I made 2 trips to their store and 2 phone calls to customer support for 1 pen and 3 gift cards and it took 15 business day to get the item. How is that easy? I will not be using Staples Delivery ever again! Carbon copied: Staples Operations Support, Email to Matthew Blake, Sales Operations, Ellen Roseman, Toronto Star. Any other users please report your delivery problems! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Nov 3 - I got a call from a supervisor Sima at Staples head office apologizing for the inconvenience. She states that for certain orders, customers are required to go in store such as: 1. First time online orders 2. All gift cards 3. High-value items like laptops I'm impressed that they actually took the time to respond to my complaint. Credit $20 to my credit card, a small gesture
