  • I was trying to get off the commercial path when searching for the perfect sweet treat on a hot day, and I was not disappointed by Michael's custard. They have a drive thru and a walk up window, so there's no excuse to not stop even if you're in a hurry. They have vanilla, chocolate, and a flavor of the day, which was luckily cookies and cream the day I visited. This wasn't your run of the mill cookies and cream, either. There were big chunks of Oreo folded into their already delicious vanilla custard (whichever employee does this is a saint). They also had some burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc., next time I visit I'll have to give those a try. The deliciousness is in the simplicity. Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned frozen custard. The service was quick and friendly, and I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Madison!
