  • Worst experience EVER! I should have walked out just by the manager's attitude about a 30 minute wait - extremely unpleasant. Then Lana, slapped on some hair color and let me sit for more than an hour without even checking on me. Unprofessional and inexperienced colorist. After the color was applied, I had to ask for a wipe to get the color off my face since it was sloppily applied. Unbelievably inattentive == not even the shopkeeper came by to check on my color when there was no one in the shop. When the person working on my hair got back in the shop, (yes, she stepped out for 15 minutes while the color was just slopped on the top of my head), she was so preoccupied yapping to her manager that she still did not stop for a minute to see how my color was coming along. I regret now not going to Sally's and doing it myself. Oh, and then when washing my hair, I thought the towel wrap was going to cut off circulation to my head it was so darn tight. They may also consider "cutting back the NAILS" to avoid scratching the hairline and scalp of their customers. The haircut was about the only decent thing even though Lana attempted to dog my previous hair cut asking me "who cut my hair." Funny but it was her colleague a few booths down who has great reviews so STFU already. The haircut person, I won't even call her a stylist, was rough, digging into my scalp with the combs and those darn nails. She was so inattentive from the get go to the end. Drying the hair, she started the blow dryer, set it down, walked away while the hair dryer blowing and then came back to work. She was like ripping the hair out of my head with her rough handling, and then didn't even top off the dry with a flat or curling iron to soften the ends. What happened to a gentle stylist? Upon completion, the hair was dead on dry -- I think it was "because she let the color on 'wwaayyy too long'." And then she expected me to sit for another 45 inattentive minutes with a conditioner at her attempt to push more product. NO thanks! I will pick up a conditioner pack and do it myself. Both the manager and haircut person acted as though $85 was a great deal when really this isn't some top notch salon, and the inattentiveness wasn't even worth that given the dissatisfied hair color job of just leaving your customer sit with a slab of hair color for more than an hour. Obviously I am upset with this experience and will never go back. There is no remedy with them as I will never have that place touch my hair again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Extremely inattentive, way too rough! This doesn't mean Fantastic Sam's doesn't have okay shops - should have gone to the one on Via Linda.
