| - One star for the food, failed on all other accounts. Live music was in main room with plenty of open available seats, but they sat us at a small table in a hallway. It took the waiter 10 minutes to greet us. He asked if we had been to 5th and Wine before, we told him no.(Perfect opportunity to impress us)! When I asked about a wine that was on the website (but not on the menu) his response was "what kind is that?" Wow! What business do you have working in a wine bar when the patron knows more about wine than you? Unbelievable! At any rate, to quickly finish and head over to a much better experience at F n B, we ordered 1 glass of wine and an appetizer each. Service was slow at best, taking our uneducated wine bar server 15 minute intervals to check on us. We only ordered appetizers! How long can that possibly take to eat??? At the awful end, we were tempted to dine and dash as we were held hostage for over 20 minutes waiting to pay our bill. (Let me stress, they were not busy - no excuse for such slow service) Wanting to escape the agony, I set my credit card on the table, a clear sign we were ready to go. We stopped another server (first one to pass in 20 minutes) and asked her to please find our server. She looked down at my card and asked "are you ready to pay?" After saying yes, she grabbed my card off the table and disappeared. What the eff just happened? I never even saw my bill! She quickly returned, stating she took care of everything - and disappeared again. Luckily everything on the bill was correct, and this turned out to be a $40 lesson I care not to repeat. Save your money and go around the corner to F nB. Or, anywhere else for that matter.
