First off ya gotta love the name. But as for the food? Tasty....My wife and I were in for lunch and started with the same thing, half & half tortillas, one filled with short rib and the other green chile pork shoulder. Then we split, red sauce for me and green for her. Asadero (jack) cheese for her and chihuahua (cheddar for me. They then take the shallow serving croaks and put them in pizza type oven. Makes the cheese melt and really makes it service hot. Next the topping, pico de gallo and/or other salsa's. Maybe a little slaw and creme and for the salad some dressing choices. My wife tried a little vinaigrette on her enchilada and likes it. Like the menu says the green sauce is the yin to the red sauces yang. Red,smokey chile flavor, green smoother....green flavor. Chips (really good) and salsa on the side and we had a great meal.
I can see were folks would be concerned about the noise but it's the norm in places like this, hell I've been to high end restaurants that were noisier. Difference is there some of what I'm paying for is the ambience. Pricing here is so affordable for the quality of the food that the noise is part of it.
My only complaint is one I have read already. The menu placement sucks. First off it's a narrow space between the front door and the board and then it's so high up. This was our first time there and so with the extensive options and the overly helpful staff it was a little unnerving. Would have been nice to have it either in a little flyer type menu or on the wall at eye level. You try to order then have to keep stepping back to check the overhead menu board. Doesn't work for me.
All that aside we will return. Nice change of pace, hot and delicious and as stated before affordable.
