The bad thing about catching a 7am flight to Las Vegas is I'm SO tired. (I'm NOT a morning person!)
The good thing? breakfast buffet at Aria. (maybe I could be a morning person?)
After taking care of hotel stuff, we headed over to the buffet at 10am. There was a long line of folks waiting to get in, all curious to see what Vegas' newest buffet has to offer. Breakfast buffet is priced at $14.95 (lunch is $30 and starts at 11am) Despite having an ambiance of a modern day cafeteria, Aria wins extra points for: omelette station made to order, great selection of charcuterie and cheeses, fruit filled crepes (sadly, already pre-made) and a carving station (yes, breakfast!)
Since we timed it right, lunch items were being put out fresh. Mountains of crab legs and shrimp that will tease the eyes and satisfy your taste buds! Definitely the sweetest crab legs I've had in a while. It was nice to see the chef making fresh naan with a traditional oven right in front of you. The Chinese food selection is dismal, the sushi limited and the dessert choices weren't as plentiful as the Wynn Buffet. But the flan has a really pretty presentation and the cream puff with the raspberry sauce perfect.
Contrary to other yelper's experiences, service was prompt and our server worked hard -- he literally had sweat beads on his forehead from running around.
Aria buffet is a must try especially if you pay the breakfast price and stay for lunch!
