Despite being a significant TTC ride from the downtown core where almost all major theatres are located, the Toronto Centre for the Arts is very beautiful, from the outside to the spacious lobby as well as the seating area.
Nothing special to be said about the way the box office is set up, they have a small store that I've never been inside, but I prefer it to the random desks that some theatre's have that sell show souvenirs that contribute to line ups during breaks.
My only experience here is with Dancap productions and as of late their line ups are pretty solid.
I've been lucky enough to sit on the first floor each of my visits here and on all occasions the view from my seat has been great regardless of the fact that I was sitting a little off center.
The staff are friendly and professional, and the bar menu is not ludicrously over priced, but not cheap by any means.
With a Starbucks on the way to the TTC station to provide the late commute back with caffeine, despite the distance from the downtown core the Toronto Centre for the Arts should definitely be high up on one's list of theatres to check out in Toronto.
