  • This review is based on the pop-up shop that rented out the restaurant on a Sunday, February 11th during the Glendale Chocolate Affair. We saw banners, a roll out "Italian Chef" sign and a menu posted in glass saying they were featured on diners and drive-ins so we decided to give the place a try. We walked in without anyone acknowledging us and headed for the patio. There were three clearly marked signs that request guests ask for assistance in moving tables so we hunted someone down and asked. He looked confused and reluctantly came outside to help us move them. We pointed at the sign and he acted as if he'd never seen it before- we brushed it off as he must be new. We waited for another 5 minutes and no one came out to greet us with menus. I headed inside and asked if anyone would come out and they said you had to order inside at the window- thanks for letting us know now that it's been 10 minutes since our arrival? Much to our dismay, there is only four types of slices to choose from which is not what was advertised outside. We ordered anyways and felt extremely uncomfortable that the lady took our cards to the back to run the transactions- I don't think you should ever leave with a customer's card in your hand when it's a walk up ordering system? By this time, we are already disappointed in the experience and it only gets worse when our food was delivered. The pizza was straight out of the fridge cold! We took it back to the kid and he said it just came out of the oven. I wasn't going to eat it so I told him he can touch it and see for himself. He gets the ladies in the back and they continue to argue with us without touching the cold pizza. Everyone was extremely unprofessional the entire time and it tainted any experience we may have in the future at this establishment. At least while we were on our way out, they added a much smaller chalk board sign next to the large sign stating it was a pop up shop and pasted a white sheet over the menu that's posted outside. Hopefully, no one else was tricked that day!
