| - You can try and remove all the negative reviews you want oneaz but that doesn't change the truth. For the last few years from age 18-now 22 I've felt pretty stuck with this credit union because I felt it would be an okay idea since my mom has it (that'll change soon). These people are the absolute worst. I had a loan with this bank and unfortunately I came on a tough time where I was in between the last day of my last job and the start date of my current employer and unfortunately that was a few weeks (which is another story in itself) I had contacted Suzanne about my situation and that I wouldn't be able to make a payment until about 2 weeks after the due date, but to make it up I'd just pay the full remaining balance ($222.22). I was told it would be okay since as long as I didn't go over 30 days with nonpayment. Well just about a few more days until payday my debit card was declining and not only that but my mother's was too for a couple of days too. Neither of us knew why but contacted the credit union to see what was going on, apparently they decided to close my bank account because of the late payment AND we found out that my mother and I were somehow under the same account which is why her account was closed too. We never intended to share a savings account, which I don't understand how she would even be on there since she never opened my account for me, and it's not like our accounts were dependent on each other, like her money was hers, mine was mine, my checking account would show $800 hers would show probably a lot more than that. So my mom agreed to pay the money to have her account open. I paid my mother not only the $222 owed but ANOTHER $200 just to be nice and makeup for the inconveniences she went through. My bank account remained closed, and I'm okay with that, yes oneaz I'm not the biggest fan of you guys anymore either, I honestly was planning on closing it not very long after this anyway, I'm sure you knew this, then reported me to chexsystems to make it hard for me to open other accounts which was pretty unnecessary and just done out of sheer spite because you knew you were going to get the money back from me soon. I don't like how they treat their customers, they never seem to want to help you, never want to meet you at least a quarter way (instead of telling you're customers what you can't do, tell them what you can), and it was pretty foul of this bank to lie to me by saying nothing would happen to me for being 2 weeks late, BUT they dragged my mom into too. She couldn't even buy groceries for 4 days. Her payments towards bills were declined as well and that I do not appreciate. We were allegedly joined in a account this whole time never seeing any currency from each other but I honestly think this was just convenient for them to do so they could get money from her. Keep my family out of it. By the way Desert federal is a much better credit union honestly. Good thing I'm young because I have my whole life ahead of me not to affiliate with you guys.
