The only positive experience about staying here was the nice gentleman who checked us in... and leaving!!! It was all downhill from there. Firstly, the room was filthy and had a pungent smell from cigarette smoke- which would be difficult to live in even if you are a smoker.
They refused to clean the room so we asked to change rooms and were unsuccessful. We checked every morning for vacancies in other rooms and were told "there is vacancies, we will call you once the room has been cleaned"... We never got the call... In the afternoon we would go back and follow up only to be told "sorry there's no more vacancies, we gave the room away."
This happened everyday for two weeks!!!
Eventually we just gave up and relocated to the Manor Inn down the road.
We asked to get our money back for the last few days we didn't stay there... This was a nightmare and way too much effort to continually chase up.
What was worse then the room was the staff and their attitude... Especially the Manager who was blatantly disrespectful and told us one day she didn't have time for us because she was "dealing with a death!" ... Did someone die in one of the rooms??? We were always made to feel like an inconvenience.
The keycards never work for the rooms and the Internet is extremely slow... Slow as in it takes 15 minutes to just sign into my email. ... They also charge for this slow internet!
If you're looking for an extended stay on a budget... Look elsewhere before this place. Manor Inn is fantastic as is Emerald Suits.
