| - I absolutely LOVE Target, but this review is regarding their CUSTOMER SERVICE at GUEST SERVICES! I went to Guest Services to get a price adjustment on some unopened, Christmas candy that my son purchased the night before (not even 24 hours had passed). The lady BECKY from customer service was giving me huge attitude saying they cannot price match their own website and that she wouldn't do the return on candy because then she would have to throw it out and it would be a "waste" for a measly price adjustment. I then told her that they've price matched their own website for me before and she kept saying, "I'm right, we can't do that." Seeing that I wouldn't give up, she called over her supervisor. She was explaining the situation to him and kept saying that she was right, they can't price adjust or price match Target.com. The supervisor was no help either. Seeing he didn't want to argue (he was busy doing other things before she paged him over) he told me that they cannot do price adjustments based on their website. I didn't want to deal with their uneducatedness of their own policies, so I told Becky to just return everything altogether. She was so rude and continued to give me attitude about it saying, "Gosh, what a waste. Now I have to throw this out and there's nothing even wrong with it." Once my return was complete, she slammed my change and receipts on the counter, grabbed all the candy, and just walked away. No eye contact, no thank you, no nothing. I was the one who said "Thank you" to her. She didn't reply or even turn around, so I grabbed my change and walked away. My son and I ended up re-buying all his christmas candy and the kind lady at checkout gladly price adjusted them for us. She told me that yes, they are able to price match their own website and she apologized for Becky's rude behavior.
Considering that it's the holidays, I would have expected Becky to act more professional and respectful. I'm writing this long review to inform you about Becky's unprofessionalism and I am hoping that something can be done about it; this way, nobody has to experience her rude customer service the way I did. Thank you.
