Absolutely horrible experience today and terrible customer service! They fixed nothing, replaced my nice thermostat with some old, used thing, and LIED to me about replacing one of my A/C motors, then the receptionist had the nerve to hang up on me when I called to tell her that nothing was working!
This is how it began: Both of my two A/C units went out last Monday. We have a home warranty company that happens to use Ice Cube Air (why, I cannot fathom!).
First of all, it took an entire WEEK to even get a service call (our second story was 99 degrees), we have 2 pets...and, so, obviously we had to rent a motel for a week for ourselves and our furry children.
They finally make the service call today and tell me that both units need a motor, and ONE unit needs a blower wheel. They have to order the blower wheel, and don't know when they will have it...SO, they tell me...they CAN at least replace ONE motor and at least get ONE unit working, so we at least have a little cool air in the house, while we wait for the other part to be ordered.
Evidently , in the meantime, they decided I also needed a thermostat downstairs, so they replaced it. They TOLD me that they replaced the one motor AND the thermostat on the downstairs unit (Stan was my technician), they would be calling me to finish up the repairs on the upstairs unit, took my $65 co-pay, and left.
Within an hour, I realized it was NOT getting cooler downstairs, NOR did the fans seem to be working, even though my "new" thermostat showed the fans were on. I called Ice Cube Air. The receptionist explained that the thermostat they gave me was a "used" one and that they would replace it when they came back to fix my upstairs unit. Funny that the tech's never bothered to tell me it was a USED thermostat when they were here! Funny in a bad way! She then told me that they were on another job and she would see if they could stop by afterwards. She never bothered to even call me back to let me know anything.
About an hour later, I called her back to find out what was going on, and find out if the tech's were coming back today. She proceeded to tell me that I would just have to wait until my other parts got here, AND she argued with me that the tech had NOT replaced ANY motor AT ALL today! She tried to tell me that we were waiting on BOTH motors to be ordered. Well Stan, my tech, had most definitely looked me in the eye and TOLD me that they replaced ONE motor TODAY, so obviously I was upset to hear that I was LIED to, in addition to having been given a USED thermostat that didn't even work! She kept interrupting me to insist that no motor had been replaced, and then HUNG UP on me! How rude and unprofessional!
When I called back because I wanted to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for over 35 minutes, before hanging up.
I tried 3 more times to call back, between 5 and 6 pm, and noone ever answered. I got an answering machine every time.
I am VERY disappointed with the total lack of service, the dishonesty of the tech's, and the terrible customer service and rudeness.
Stay away from this company!
