  • I got a coupon in those coupon mailers and was looking to get a haircut at the time and I was tired of driving to Scottsdale for haircuts so I figured I would give this salon a try and possibly make this my go-to spot since they're close to my house and had many positive reviews. When I was booking my appointment I asked for a hairdresser that specializes in short do's if possible because I was looking to get a super short cut. Now, I don't know if they got the memo but the lady that cut my hair, Britanny...she was not into chatting, came off a little impersonal but I don't mind that because the most important thing to me is getting a good haircut. At the start, I said I only wanted a haircut then she put a cape on me and told me to come to the shampoo chair, I'm like OK...must just be how they do it here. After she washed my hair then I showed her a few pics of what I wanted. Short, cheek length very even BLUNT bob with a few long layers in back to show some volume and short bangs. She got about 70% of that. she cut the length I asked for but it is nowhere even or blunt and she gave me way too many layers in the back, it looks like Kate Gosselin circa 2008. I'm perfectly OK with a hairdresser that isn't talkative but at least listen to what your customers want. It is someone else's head that they have to walk around with after all. My hair was still wet after she was done cutting it so I couldn't really tell if it was even. I asked her twice if it was straight and even and it was not(see pics). She asked if I wanted her to style it for me otherwise we were done...and this was my fault, I said yes but she did NOT ask me how I want it styled, she just went ahead and styled it her way. When it was all said and done, I went to pay and the new receptionist told me the coupon couldn't be used and she checked with the owner and he told me because I got "the package" which included shampoo and style...It was the most confusing haircut experience of my life. The coupon thing wasn't a big deal, I would be happy to pay the full price or for the package and I even tipped her, however, after I got home I felt like the haircut was not what I asked for.
