| - This was the third visit to Lidias in the past 5 years or so. Overall, my impression is that in Pittsburgh, there are a number of local Italian restaurants where you can get as good or better pasta dishes for a better value. I had the pasta trio and a salad- 30 bucks. You get as much as you want, but really how much pasta do you need... The pasta dough itself was very good, Lidia has that recipe down. The 3 dishes were a pork filled ravioli, a creamy dish with peas and asparagus, and a tomato based pasta with small shrimp. They were all decent, not great. I did ask for a second helping of the ravioli, and a few of them were cold in spots, which tells me that they had been frozen and not boiled long enough. Service was very good and ambiance was pleasant. Not many in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 730. Considering my 3 experiences here, I have to land on three stars, because I just don't think the food is memorable enough, or worth what they are charging considering other great options in the area.
