  • Back in the day, The Satisfied Frog was awesome. The food was great and it was just an all around fun place to go. Not so much anymore. Now it's just a tourist trap for those that still think Arizona is filled with sawdust, cowboys, Indians and steers. They changed the menu some years back and made each item pricier than before. Why not I guess- if tourists will pay to eat a bland dinner in a western setting, then there's no reason to keep their prices down. But one thing that hasn't changed is their strawberry shortcake. This has got to be the best one I've ever had. It's served warm and with ice cream...it's amazing. In my younger years, I used to be able to eat a whole one by myself and it's huge. I'm not proud of that, but that's how good it is. If you come for anything, I'd come just for that and skip dinner altogether.
