| - I really had a good time at Tag Zone. Came here for a friends bachelor party and I really enjoyed it. As the previous reviewer mentioned, one of the drawbacks of traditional paintball is it does get pretty messy, also in traditional paintball your ammo is a finite resource, so the more trigger happy you are the more expensive it gets. Tag zone eliminates both of these problems, so if you are like me and are not good at these sort of things, you can be as trigger happy as you want without worrying about ammo costs!
When I went it was pretty busy, 7 in our group plus another 8 people, so we got to team up with some new people, and as a bonus some members of our group got to shoot the groom to be! The staff were really enthusiastic about teaching us all of the games and ensured that everyone respected the rules without being too heavy handed. The maze itself is pretty good, lots of places to crouch behind, or shoot (or in my case get shot) through and there are a good variety of scenerios. If I had any criticism of the scenerios is that some of them give a large advantage to the defensive team but as we played they tweaked the rules in order to even it up.
It costs $39.00 but it is worth the money (and bruises) for 2 hours of solid fun. If you are not a large group they will usually be able to put you with other people so that there is a good number of players, I wouldn't do this every weekend because it is a bit pricey but this is a great activity for Birthday parties, bachelor parties, etc...l.
