Great little microbrewery in a very random part of Millvale. It's confusing to get to and they don't have much of a sign so it can be a bit hard to find, but once you do the atmosphere is pretty cozy and comfortable. The best part about this place is the beer. I love Belgian varieties so I may be biased, but I think they have some of the more interesting and complex beers compared to other microbreweries in the area, and I love the design labels for their bottles which are very creative and whimsical. The staff are all super friendly and provide excellent service.
The first time I went all the tables had drawing paper and charcoal pencils and on the walls were drawings by customers. I was sad to see they got rid of that next time I went so I hope they bring it back since it was such a neat idea. They do have a few games and a chessboard you can play at your table. I found the lighting a bit bright for a bar and felt they should dim the lights a bit for a better ambiance.
I wish they would extend their hours and perhaps offer some food or snack options (or partner with some foodtrucks like Brew Gentlemen does), especially since there are no nearby restaurants in the area. Another microbrewery, Grist House (also with no food options), is also conveniently located .2 miles away so you could hit up both in the same trip.
Note: I'm not sure why the name says Saints and Turncoats, but this is the Drai Laag Brewing Company. Also watch out for the address because is another 501 E. Ohio St in Pittsburgh North side! My GPS took me to the wrong one the first time, so make sure you go to the Millvale one.
