My wife and have been to Kincaids on Radon-do pier in Cal twice before and wanted to try the down town Phoenix location since it had been about two years since we had last been to Cal.
We really enjoyed the Cal location, the food was great and so was the service.
We visited Kincaid's in Phoenix on a Thursday night and since we did not make a reservation we had to sit in the bar lounge area. No big deal we thought until we realized there was only two or three servers taking care of the whole lounge. Drinks went empty for some time, the servers never checked up on us to see how things were and the Calamari with plumb sauce was soggy and a little under cooked.
I had this salmon, scallop, shrimp platter $36.00 and it was as though everything was flavored with just a pinch of salt an pepper. So there was two bites of salmon, three med scallops, and two shrimp. My meal came to $5.14 per bite. I don't mind the high price, I expected it since I had been to Kincaids before but I ordered out of my comfort zone and went for the seafood rather than the prime rib. Well I learned my lesson.
Oh and the entire time we were there there was hardly anyone in the dinning area so I'm not sure why they wouldn't sit us in there. :(
Oh well, live and learn. Stick to the beef.
