  • First off, the resort fee is now an incredible $15 per night (ok, it's $14.99) which is a total joke, as are all of the resort fees throughout Vegas. The rooms I've found are ok (there are a few rooms there that have been "upgraded" which are terrific), but anyone paying rack rate is going to be very unhappy. If you are paying more than $20-$25 (plus the resort fee), I doubt it's going to be a pleasant memory. On weekends, etc., when the price goes to $75-$150 and much higher when big conventions are in town (plus the resort fee), it's truly ridiculous. The elevator is sub-par, the stairs are sub-par, but the biggest sub-par are the personality of those who work the hotel, including the security folks. Perhaps they're just tired of dealing with the same issues over and over, but they are not friendly and welcoming. If you want some amusement, sit in their lobby at check-out time, and watch the process when folks get hit by the resort fee (which honestly they should have known about, but clearly didn't pay attention). It is an ok place to stay, not far from the strip, but if you don't get it at a reasonable rate, it's so not worth it. And dealing with those at the front desk, they just all seem to be having a bad day. Recently looks like they spent a ton of money redoing their signs out front (now "electronic"), I doubt it's gonna have much of an impact on the insides... oh, and btw, the "free breakfast" that you normally get with a room, you'd be better off taking a bus to a McDonalds and spending a few dollars to get a coffee and hashbrowns. Pre-packaged pastry, apples, oranges, vending OJ, lousy coffee, etc., is really not worth your effort. The "free breakfast" is not even held in the regular dining room, you get a "special" room to be embarrassed, as you need to show proof before you begin your "feast". I gave it 2 STARS, if the option existed, would have given it 2 1/2 STARS.
