  • Today I visited a new quilting store and it promises to fulfill a quilters dream. In a large city like Las Vegas, you would think that there would be a steady demand for hobby supplies like quilting. I know there are several quilting guilds in the valley, but one by one the quilt shops have closed their doors. There are 'other' places to obtain fabric and supplies but nothing beats a quilt shop to have the best designers and supplies. So when I came across the listing for a new quilt shop, I was excited to find it and see how it measures up. Easy to find just off Rancho and Gowen, large building with bright signage. Walking in, you are immediately aware of the brightness of the space. Lots of light, nooks filled with bolts in variations of color. Large amount of prints and print themes as well as the a whole room for batiks! They have many patterns and quilting books from all the know quilters. Notions and quilting kits. The classroom is large, well lit and ready to go, they haven't started classes yet but I was told they will be very soon and to check their website for details. They are already expanding into the space next door and at present do not have a long arm but will in the future. I'm excited to see how their classes stack up and plan on attending one in the near future once the get things set up!
