This place is VERY hyped by the Plaza Midwooders and I sort of see it?
Decor: eclectic! spunky! colorful! There's so much to look at.
Wait staff: We had a STELLAR woman helping us out. Very animated, very honest, very attentive. When she checked in after receiving our food, she immediately remarked that my dish was missing something (I was none the wiser) and brought out two sauce options. That said, those I dined with (seasoned Zada Jane goers) said the staff can be hit or miss - so keep that in mind.
Food: Pretty mixed. What I had was not good - a falafel special. I got THREE falafel balls (barely anything) on top of a sparse "bed" of sprouts, with 6 wedges of pita to dip in an enormous cup of hummus. Waitress brought me tahini and a delicious lemon aioli for dipping. The dish was just too small and odd. It should be on a bed of lettuce, or within an actual pita if they want to make it a sandwich. Every other dish at the table looked delicious: a custom omelet (it was enormous!), the bunny rancheros, and the valid spinach salad. So I will be trying one of those next time!
Overall: Not thrilled, but I'm definitely going back to try out some different options.
