  • Well, I have to admit that upon entering this building, I was expecting a lot more. I guess its a great venue for small pet shows and presentations, but if you go in on an off-day, its painfully quiet. About 3/4 of the place is an educational center/museum - partition walls covered in pet pictures and fun facts about cats and dogs. It resembles what an exhibit in the Science Centre looks like. It is fun for new owners though. I have to admit, when I first got my kittens I went back and almost looked at it in a new light. I was previously only familiar with dogs, so it was nice to see interesting cat facts, information about their body language, etc. It's nothing I wouldn't find in a basic book about cats, but the larger than life, cute kitten and puppy pictures kind of made it extra awesome. I also showed up (without knowing) when there was an international cat convention of sorts. There is a little hall in the back of the building for things such as this. People were proudly going up to the mic and talking about their show-winning cats. I couldn't really relate, as my cats were strays, but you could tell those people were totally into it. It was kind of cool. There was also a booth set up with sparkling, bedazzled cat jewellery - which my friend informed me that I couldn,t buy, unless I wanted to lose friends. She's good like that. There is a very tiny gift shop, of sorts. A few toys and books, but mostly gifts geared towards pet owners. Some unique stuff, its worth a look. In my opinion, Paws Way is worth stopping by if you are already in the area. Its also great shelter when it starts raining at the Harbourfront.
