  • Honestly, I'm quite the sugar tooth. So, though I rated this place a 3/5 - there is a reason. I like to get the bad out of the way first. One particular visit last summer, I was selecting my usual 12 dollar assortment of candy, and there were about 7 or 8 wasps/bees flyer around in the bins I was going through. I mentioned it, without freaking out obviously - because of course insects are attracted to sugar, but I just thought the staff didn't know. All they did was glare at me and say "yeah it happens all the time". UH WELL MAYBE DO SOMETHING TO MAKE IT NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. I don't want no fricken wasp candy man, I'm scared of that shit! Otherwise - I love it here. It's not too crazy of a selection, but it's good as far as Calgary and even Canada go for unique sugar selection. A little expensive though for things that are widely available. I understand the mark up on things like vanilla coke/other imported products. But I'm pretty sure I pay 0.73 cents for pop rocks and the Shell across the street. Rethink that one guys! Also, the staff always look so miserable...
