| - I finally got to try the Donut Parlor after wanting to make my way out there for quite some time.
It was well worth the wait. First off, the service is excellent. The girl seemed more than happy to humor me when I asked for a rundown on aaaaalllllllllllll the donuts they had (since it was my first time there). She mentioned her personal favorite (the blueberry cake donut and the strawberry filled donut) and the fan favorites (the bacon donut and the fruity pebbles donut). We ended up getting a fruity pebbles donut and a glaze with red velvet crumbles since I wanted a yeast donut as opposed to a cake one, but the blueberry one and lemon poppy seed one were very appealing. I also mentioned how I saw ube ones on their social media, and the owner offered to make me them! How cool, right?
As far as the donuts, I really liked them! My friend loves Hurts, and he said that they were definitely on par. I liked the donuts because the glazed one wasn't overly sweet - you can actually taste the dough. They also weren't greasy. Two big pluses in my book! The fruit pebbles was sweeter because of the toppings, but that's to be expected. We also had to get a? Cambodian?n iced? coffee (similar to a Vietnamese iced tea, but not as sweet) and a Thai? tea to wash it down, and both were refreshing.
Overall a great experience. Plus, they deliver!! Thumbs up. I guarantee if you brought these into your office, you'd be a hit. ;)
