I can't vouch for their tagline of "The Last Great Hamburger Stand," though I like to visit several restaurants in a franchise before making an overall judgment. This particular Fatburger did not make a great first impression on me. I did enjoy the casual atmosphere and the outdoor dining, albeit really loud. At places like these, I like to order my burger with basic toppings like lettuce and tomato and no sauces or cheese so I can see how the burger itself tastes. Mine was overcooked, the edges fell off from being poorly made, and it was too salty. If you're here with a larger group, remember what you ordered. When the food comes out, the server will have all the burgers on one tray and all the sides on another, as opposed to serving each person what they ordered individually. Sodas at $3.50 and bottled water at $4 was a bit pricey.
There's a much longer line for a burger at Shake Shack across the street, and maybe that's a tell.
