I've heard lots of friends talk about this place, but went for the first time last Saturday. Unfortunately for me, the rooftop was closed due to a private party, so I was forced to stick to the lobby bar.
For some reason there was a guest list they were strict about even though it wasn't packed The bouncer ended up letting us add our names to the list, which I felt was unnecessary to get in.
The music was popular hip hop and R&B you'd hear on the radio or in a lot of the Toronto clubs. There's no real dance-floor but a lot of groups of women just get into circles and dance anyways near the bar. The crowd was a bit old for my taste. Definitely a lot more cougars than I expected...
Overall I'd say the lobby bar is a cool spot to grab a few drinks, seems like after that everyone ends up at the Thompson Diner down the street. I'll be back next time to check out the rooftop patio which is where I initially wanted to go.
