  • Check in - No one greeted us - went to the counter to check in thinking we'd be handled different since we were a group - was redirected to the machines for the boys to create their profiles - no instructions/no assistance - just pointed to the machines. Asked for our "event manager" and was told they'd find him. After check in - Inquired to the schedule of the day - we specifically arrived early as to allow time to gather boys and begin safety instructions prior to race time. The host seemed somewhat lost and didn't have clear/concise directions on 'next steps'. I asked him to start the instruction early to get the boys attention. Ordering - I asked our host about ordering food for the adults - he directed me to the bar area - where a gal wondered back and forth in a dazed state while I was trying to make eye contact. The other gentleman working behind the bar felt the need to go into great detail about RPM and how it had no relation to speed with folks who were going over their race results - never mind a customer was waiting to order. After 10 minutes - the gal finally wandered over to me - I asked another mom to place our order so I could see the boys race. It was a very simple order, 2 chicken lettuce wraps, 2 burgers, 1 quesadilla - pretty hard to mess that up, right? After food was delivered - there was no quesadilla - I sent another mom back up to collect the food - and they had to resubmit that part of the order. When it finally came - after we had finished the other food - they handed me another bill. What the what? Race - One boy hit a wall very hard as he was rounding a corner - I ran into the start area of the race to ask staff to check on him - specifically identified cart 13 - they told me they were on the final lap and since he was continuing - should be fine. Never mind that I had several moms wanting to intervene and check on him - the lack of care and concern was appalling. Pizza - The host explained that lunch for the boys would be ready at 1:30pm -well - we were finished by racing at 1:07pm - I had to ask him to get the kitchen in gear to have the pizza's out when the boys were done so I didn't have them running all over the place. I lost. The boys went rampant throughout the facility. Finally the food came - I corralled all the boys again. I asked about the sodas and was redirected back to the bar. Awesome. Drinks - So I'm back at the bar trying to get drinks for the boys - asked if they could take our order - they told us we need to have each boy come over individually - to where I stepped in and played waitress for the day. It took them 20 minutes to get 3 Dr. Peppers, 1 Coke, 1 Lemonade and 1 Sprite. No lie. By the time I got back to the table, my food was cold. Overall - Now we're getting ready for cake - the host stands next to the table while I begin to bus our tables and move the plates and silverware to make room for our cake. No offer to help - no assistance - just stood there. They have an amazing offering - they could make it SO much better with a little organization and customer service training. Fortunately the kids didn't notice the lack of service/organization/assistance - but as parent - I did - and for what you pay for the experience - they should have had this dialed.
