My first visit to this facility was amazing, but after that it's been downhill. Every time I go my son is running an exceptionally high fever and they always tell me it's just a virus and there is nothing wrong (even though I tell them my son has chronic ear infections). This last time was the last straw! Once again "it's just a virus, his ears are red, but that doesn't mean there is an infection. Wait 4-5 days and if the fever doesn't go away bring him back". Well the fever didn't go away and I took him to another facility and guess what... he now has a double internal and external ear infection and Is requiring tubes. The doctor there said with it that bad it would have definitely been visible when I took him into Phoenix Children's. Good job collecting my many co-pays and getting us in very quickly, but I'd gladly wait a bit longer and get a correct diagnosis and treatment. The staff is friendly enough, but pretty incompetent. I also had a nurse who refused to use patient friendly terms like lbs and ounces or temperature in Fahrenheit. Even when I'd ask, she'd repeat the same thing. We are never going here again for Urgent care.
