Purchased several thousand dollars' worth of furniture and an area rug. Was to be delivered Aug 5 but 3 bar stools and the rug were not delivered - I was told they were back ordered.
When I called to find out the status of the missing items, no one returned my calls - had to keep calling over several days before I could get a delivery date. The rug was going to take another 4-6 weeks, so I cancelled that order, and a cheque for $500+ was to be delivered with the stools.
The stools were finally delivered Aug 26, THREE WEEKS LATE, but no cheque was delivered.
Called several times on Aug 28 and 29, but no one returned my messages. Finally got hold of someone on the 29th - they said I had to come to the store to pick up the cheque, or they would mail it.
I said that was unacceptable since the cheque was to be dropped off with the stools . The store rep hung up on me. I called back and reiterated I wanted the cheque delivered today. Got hung up on again. Then the guy called me back, said he'd mail it, and told me I was stupid.
Great example of customer service - guaranteed to keep me from ever shopping at Furnishings 2 Day again, and to let anyone know about my experience.
