Yesterday a friend and I decided to spend the day downtown. We started our Sunday adventure at the Ripley's aquarium of Canada. I found it to be a pretty neat attraction.
I think location is perfect being right next to one of Toronto's main attractions the CN Tour and the Roger Center. Its also not difficult to get to by public transit. We were fortunate to experience union station shut down for service so having to get off at king and walking wasn't to bad. Gave us a little scenic route.
The attraction itself was extremely kid friendly, but didn't make me feel silly for going as a adult. There was many knowledgeable facts, presentations, and communication of what we are actually looking at. I found the glass tunnel to be the best part. I liked how they installed a moving track to keep the flow of the exhibit. I'm sure if I wasn't on the moving floor I would have stayed in their for hours watching the sharks swim above me.
I enjoyed how they had a couple of exhibits where you can pet/touch certain underwater creatures. I did find it to be a little shorted that expected but definitely worth a sight to see. I am already planning to take my niece's their to check it out.
