Came here with a group of friends after giving up on trying to get into the Thompson... (for the record, it was not my idea to go to the club at the Thompson...!). We arrived on a Saturday night just before midnight, not on guestlist and the bouncer was really nice and let us right in no problem. $10 cover + $2 for coat check. The entrance is through the alley that goes to Buca.
Fun place, nice interior, and pretty mixed/diverse crowd. As mentioned before, the space is really long and narrow, which probably isn't the best set up but there are bars at either end. There is also a patio upstairs, but there was a sign saying it was closed. Yet people kept going upstairs... We didn't try and figure out what was up there, perhaps a private event?
The DJ played a mix of the usual top 40 stuff, with some 90's classics thrown in. He didn't take requests:( He did do a good job mixing up the songs though, without the awkward transitions between songs. It seems more and more places have random kids who think they're a "DJ" because they have iTunes... it's unfortunate.
