I've encountered sun up beer prior to making the pilgramige here. I do like their white Russian stout and have had it prior. I also like that they're one of the few breweries open past 10. The bartender was nice and give us the run down on what beers were most popular and such.
We just got a flight of 4 because I'm more of a beer taster these days lol. We got the white Russian stout, the vanilla porter, the trooper IPA (I was told that's essentially the house ipa) and the tanline brown ale.
They were solid beers. The white Russian stood alone as the most unique. I guess if I had any recommendation it would be adding more of a description to the beer list. I know a bit about beer but it was a little hard to decipher some things.
For instance the abv helps but what is the ibu? What is the flavor profile or how are some of these same styled beers different? Why would you want to try a beer on cask? Those are the things that would be nice to know without having to ask.
It's a nice spot to grab a couple beers.
