  • While this location is convenient and it is generally well-stocked, they have recently taken out the self checkout machines and replaced them with regular checkout stations with cashiers. I was just in (Sunday morning around 11:00am) and a single station was open. When I asked the lady why they had taken out the self checkout machines, she told me that people had been stealing and people needed jobs. Perhaps Safeway could call Target and figure out how they made self checkout work.
