Review update: after I got home and really looked at my hair, I realized I'd just gotten the worst, most expensive haircut, that I've had in the past 2 years. The hairdresser was really nice and gave a great back and head massage, but does not know how to do a fade. The owner got back to me after after my initial post and offered to have me come back in to fix my hair: unfortunately I had already gone back to NYC.
The staff was friendly, and the salon had a good ambiance. I enjoyed the complementary beer, head shampoo, and the neck and shoulder massage that comes with every haircut.
The price is a bit steep: $39 for a men's haircut. It only costs $15-20 in NYC for a quality haircut with the beer. And we all know the rent and cost of living is much higher there.
Overall great place, but I would only recommend it if they dropped the price and improved on their skills. Maybe other hairdressers there are better than the one I had.
