| - What can you really say about Wal-Mart: it's the gigantic uberbehemoth of North American retail space. They have a wide variety of products without much depth, which is starting to get really annoying.
This one is one of the larger new stores, with a complete grocery store, a pharmacy, lottery counter, and McDonald's amongst other services.
As far as Wal-Marts go, this one's nice - lots of space, lots of checkouts, lots of parking. Easy to get in and out.
My main issue with Wal-Mart is that the selection is consistently bad these days. They seem to have a few different brands of the same product with the same features, and it seems to be worse now than it has been in the past. This big store is particularly disturbing, as they've made the store bigger but it doesn't seem to have any more selection. They've put in shorter shelves and spread things out more, I think, so overall it's really no better from a product availability standpoint.
The net result is I almost never shop here anymore - they just don't have anything I really want, or if they do have it I can get a better deal online. About the only thing I would buy here on a regular basis is food, for which they're a pretty good deal but I've got closer options.
