  • Tempe Auto Repair is literally the first mechanic where I have been that i have not left feeling like i have been... well you know. I took my 2012 f150 in to quote me on some work that Ford had recommended for my truck. Just by looking at the list, Vic (who had worked at Ford before) told me that there is no way any of the listed work should be done, and that one item that Ford recommended to be maintenanced is not even on my truck. He looked over it anyway and the only thing he found was a small leak in the front differential, and he advised me to take it to Ford and get it done under warranty. Vic also agreed that closer to my warranty expiration i should 1. apply a 3rd party warranty to my truck that he has worked with before and highly recommends 2. come back soon and we will look over the whole thing to see if there is anything to stick to Ford. I returned this past week because Vic said they had the best tire prices, even better than the giants at discount. I picked to go with 305 55 20 trail grapplers, a tire normally priced at close to 400 a tire (367 the lowest i found on the internet with 3 week delivery). Vic and i agreed on 1200 for the tires, and he would instal the suspension kit on my truck, balance, align, the whole 9 yards for 1300. Later that day i called back to change my appointment time and Vic said he had quoted the wrong tire, but he would fix the problem. The next day I receive a phone call from Vic. He admitted that he had messed up and to get the tires all i had to pay was their cost and he would do everything else for free. No labor costs or anything! The truck turned out amazing and Vic was more excited than i was to see the final product. He power washed my engine right before we got their too. Sadly a bracket on the control arm broke a few days later. I called Vic, very unhappy that this happened. He was so shocked and thankful that nothing bad happened like a wreck when it broke, and i could hear the genuine apologetic tone in his voice. It was friday and the part was hard to find. They came up an towed my truck for free, and Vic told me that if i needed a car i could go rent one and he would cover the rental. He did just that and the truck was fixed at no cost to me. My experience was no flawless at Tempe Auto, but it was genuine, and all mistakes were properly taken care of. Victor and the boys at Tempe Auto are the last honest mechanics out there and i will take everything i need done to them. Thanks Vic! Fred w
