On balance the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I'm not big fan of Starbucks coffee anyway but at least you know you should be able to count on consistent service practices and standards (although that's been going decliningl chain-wide in recent years as well...). Gave this place a shot several times the lost two months, the observations:
They've never once had Blonde Roast on tap when I asked for it, even as early as 2:40PM, and they pretend they can't make you a single one.( Also won't make you a decaf) This month the entire storefront is plastered with "Blonde Roast" promotion posters but you can't get one here! Never mind how lame it is to begin with that an operation of Starbucks' resources doesn't offer more than the same two varieties of drip every day, but that's another rant.
Poor replenishment of baked goods - Oatmeal Raisin cookie not available 3 of the 5 times I asked for it, and the dessert & snack window is generally patchy, often not improving on consecutive days even though GF truck comes nightly for re-supply. Also often missing Starbucks exclusive "Whole Earth" sweetener which is a big reason I might go to Starbucks over the Second Cup on days when I don't have my own Stevia packets with me,
I also dislike the way they use the space too. The line up blocks the enterance/exit. The middle is dominated by a tall communal table which I detest, while the entire strip along the storefront window is unused. Would have made more sense to place a communal counter facing at the window while using the middle portion for more small tables and having some comfy armchairs against the back wall.
Although I'm in the area many times each month, I will endeavor to pick up coffee elsewhere or use only Second Cup in the same mall, I no longer consider this place an option.
