| - The Goods
The Resort is beautiful - everything.... everywhere... beautiful. A gorgeous lobby, beautiful grounds, lots of pretty outdoor seating nooks, gorgeous grounds and landscaping, a stunning pool, and excellent sleeping rooms.
We loved the pool, and liked the canopies over some of the lounge chairs if you wanted some protection from the sun.
Our room was very comfortable, with lots of seating, and a desk. The bathroom was pretty big and had a great shower. The AC and WIFI in our room worked very well.
The Not So Goods
As first timers- we felt a little intimidated here. The resort is pretty big with three main areas in separate buildings- the hotel, the conference center and restaurant, and the casino. We really could have used an orientation when we walked in -you know, "there's the pool", "there's the casino", "there's the restaurant", etc. etc. We received none of that. We received no information that you could open an account in the casino and get $10 credit to gamble. We got zippo.
Yes, the pool was great, but half of it was closed and there was no outdoor bar service, which you kind of expect when you go to a resort, right?
One day we came home and saw that our "made" bed looked really weird, like someone had spilled two dozen golf balls under the comforter. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/we-ko-pa-scottsdale-2?select=gY6mzEL2kcydN17Go5iw8w&userid=cVrM2BvOvPV0Vi_rC8kepQ
The Bizarre
On our last day there, we saw a cow wandering across the parking lot! Seems this is an "Open Range" area with no fences, so cows and horses sometimes stroll onto the premises.
Once we figured out the lay of the land, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
