| - Since Solaire does so many things, this review is for the massage services.
I live around the block from Solaire and I've been getting their Groupon massage pre-pay pricing for at least 3 years now. In my experience, it's a very mixed bag. I'm not sure were they get the therapists there, but they are either straight out of school or some certification less than a LMT. If you book a "relaxation massage" at the Groupon rate, you will get one of these people. Their employee directory has two LMT listed, but I suspect they save them for full price clients.
Given the experience level and training of these people, massages are completely hit or miss. I live close enough and have been buying the Groupon long enough that I try out multiple therapists and have found a few that are better than average there. I then know to request them.
Unfortunately, there also seems to be a high amount of turnover of therapists as well. I once found a great therapist who I used exclusively for a year. At the Groupon rate, it was like gold. But she just randomly quit one day. I've seen similar departures as well.
My advice is to go with a Groupon relaxation massage and give a few different therapists a shot. You'll find at least one that does decent enough to make the Groupon rate worthwhile, if you want to get massages on a regular basis. However, I would not use Solaire for therapeutic or special occasion massages (e.g anniversary, special days, ect.). In those circumstances I'd go with a place like Spa at Yellow Creek or Mario's that only offer experienced LMTs.
