We wanted to like this place so much! And had been looking forward to it for awhile.
We came around 6 pm on Saturday and the line to dine in took about 45 minutes. We ordered a grande La hot dog to share (we had read on their menu that their hot dogs were their specialty?) and a cheeseburger with bacon. The poutine with hot dog was a HUGE disappointment (the hot dogs were no better than oscar meyer wieners and added a strange flavor to the gravy; they certainly were not all beef; I would recommend NOT to order this) and the cheeseburger was one of the worst that I've had (the meat was dry; not even the bacon could redeem this).
To add insult to injury: The seating arrangement was pretty terrible -- they made what was one table into two, to seat us and another family (we couldn't get up without having to ask them to stand up).
To date, the best Poutine experience that we've had was NOT in Montreal; it was at Saus in Boston.
We were glad that the service was at least friendly and our waitress happily helped convert our US dollars into Canadian.
This place definitely did not live up to the hype -- it doesn't even rank as "OK."
**Cash only (accepts US dollars); ATM on site**
