  • Visited here with some colleagues last month. As someone not from the WI area, it seemed like a very typical bar and restaurant. It is located near the Capitol, and was definitely crowded and we had a bit of a wait before we had a table. A few of us got drinks and cheese curds while we waited. I will remember the Old fashioned and the first place I have ever tried cheese curds as well the first time I actually enjoyed a beer! Since it was the first time I ever had cheese curds, I didn't really have anything to compare it with. While anything fried is always good, their cheese curds were intense and a bit on the saltier side. I prefer the cheese curds at other locations in the area. Even though I normally don't like beer, I also decided to try some of the WI beers they had, and the bar tender let me try a belgian red cherry beer from New Glarus that was delicious! For dinner, I ordered a Mac and cheese which while good, did not stand out for me.
