We were new to Vegas and has a friend recommend Cheyenne Tonopah Animal Hospital when we adopted a dog and he needed his shots. We took him in and they ran a typical test (he's a 10 yr old shepherd) and the vet noticed a large growth behind his rib cage. He asked if we would mind taking an x ray to figure out more about the growth. After the x ray the vet said there were 4 possible things the growth could be (2 were good, 2 were not good). He suggested a biopsy to find out if our dog had cancer or not, so we got it done. After getting the results back and finding out the growth wasn't cancerous, he let us know surgery to remove it was an option, but for a dog our age, it was a risk. We decided to leave the growth alone since the dog seemed fine and we didn't want to risk seeing him worse during recovery from surgery (or he doesn't make it out of surgery). The vet and people at Cheyenne Tonopah have been great every time we call or visit. The dog is now on inexpensive medication and for the pricier stuff (biopsy, x rays, if we chose surgery), the vet has an option for you to call a company and arrange affordable payments to pay off a bigger vet bill instead of paying all at once. It's great to find a vet you can trust in a place like Vegas.
