  • Updated review: Calgary Public Library, you are winning me over. Yes, I still stand by the things I wrote in my first review. But I've found that I've been catching up on old classics, due to you not really having many of the books I want to read (invention truly is the mother of necessity!). For example, I never thought that I'd finally sit down and read the entirety of Shakespeare's plays. But since nobody really checks out your Shakespeare collection, I've been giving myself a nice education of sorts with some of the most beautiful literary passages I have ever read. Your employees are still extremely kind and helpful (and probably still underpaid!). People in the stacks are still weird and sometimes intimidating. And yet, nowadays I look forward to my visits here. Feels more homey than it used to.
