Finally! Some really great BBQ here in Anthem. Lucille's was ok but very "chain-like." Then came Bell's BBQ which was like that date that you really wanted to like but just didn't feel anything there. Finally, this BBQ place is the real deal.
If you noticed, most of the bad reviews were from people ordering the sliders or the po boy. The sandwich is definitely the weakest (and cheapest) part of the menu. Go for the pure BBQ - ribs, chicken, tri tip without the bread. What they call "hot" sauce really wasn't that hot but it had a nice kick to it.
My only complaint is that they mailed out menus and it was clear that the person who came up with the pricing didn't think it through very clearly and you could easily "game" the menu. When you showed up to order, they wouldn't honor the price. It was only $1 but it left a bad taste. You lost a lot of enthusiasm (and a star) over a buck.
