  • Let me begin with the fact that I and my family shop here regularly, Macy's were always the top of customer service for me and as a business owner I took then as a example. Until now, I don't know if I was unlucky or simply this store is headed down hill. I never had any issues being the first time I have tried to call and get a problem solved I must say there customer service after the fact is absolutely ridiculous! My wife has chosen an area rug on August 5th in the store after the order she was told there are no in stock and they will ship it home, they assured there will be no issues whatsoever. I must stop here for a moment and say, I am a big online shopper, I never shop for rugs and furniture online because of what happened next. The rug arrived surprisingly quick, within 6 days (11th)!! Only one problem, we ordered metallic Teal and received a PURPLE!! As purple as it gets! Here the fun really starts... The Macy's rep finally contacted us after a couple days apologizing and said an exchange was placed and it will be a couple weeks. (On the 13th) she continued with trying to find a way to get the purple carpet wrapped and even hinted we can bring it back to the store( so wait, you don't have it in stock ship the right color and I have to load it and drive across town to bring it back- and wait! My new one will still take another 2 weeks?? Several days past and no empty bag for the carpet on the 16th 17th and 18th we have tried calling again and again and again there is a message that says "waiting time 10 minutes" and you get hung up on after 9 for three times in a row. If your lucky you get to leave a message no one will return anyways. On the 19 I loaded the freakin carpet and drove all the way to Macy's as furious as can be. The manager was nice enough to say "we can leave the carpet here I won't have you take it all the way back home" she gave us some gift card and said the new carpet is on the way already and should be within a week or less as it was ordered on the 13th (allegedly) On the 20th we received a call to expect the carpet within a week. On the 24th we called 4 times (we already know the drill) finally reached Someone who now says the order is in back order and will ship September 21st!!! (needless to say no email, phone call, mailing dove that informs us to stop waiting as the carpet is on snail mainland will hopefully arrive this year. I highly recommend you guys to try calling this store and try to reach a department it is simply a joke!! I will STILL give the benefit of the doubt to Macy's and hope this issue will be corrected and we will be taken care of. Will be sure to post an update (hoping it will be a good one!!)
